Hello, I am Lena Shafer! I am a backpacking and sea kayaking expedition leader, mariner, and photographer. At sea, I follow the migration patterns of the humpback, orca and grey whale. On land, I backpack, bike pack, and ski in the Cascades, Rocky, and Brooks Range Mountains. I am a self taught student of photography and videography, and an avid writer. My work is driven by my passion for the Earth and her people, and sharing stories of our interconnectedness.
